“BURN THE MORTGAGE” BARBEQUE IN DONALDSON PARK: Hold the date—Sunday, September 10 late afternoon and join us as we celebrate paying off our shul mortgages with torah, music, softball, activities and prizes for children of all ages and a delicious barbeque. The event will be free, but sponsorships to burn the mortgage documents will be available. Please see further details in the coming weeks.

ECLIPSE 2017 THROUGH THE EYES OF CHAZAL: This Shabbat morning after Mussaf, please remain in the Main Sanctuary for a special shiur by Rabbi Miodownik on Eclipse 2017 Through the Eyes of Chazal in preparation for the solar eclipse that will take place on Monday, August 21. In this shiur, with source sheets provided, we will study some of the halachic and hashkafic statements of rabbinic authorities on the phenomenon of eclipses. Kiddush will follow.

SHALOM CEMETERY VISITS DURING ELUL: The main gate of the Shalom Cemetery on Highway 27 in New Brunswick will be open for cars each Sunday during the month of Elul from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on August 27, September 3, 10 and 17. YAMIM NORAIM SEAT RESERVATIONS: Seating forms for Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur 5778 can be found in the shul office and lobby. Please take advantage of our Early Bird Special by next Friday, August 25 for the best prices on seats.

HIGH HOLIDAY BABYSITTING: If you will have any need for babysitting over Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kippur, please complete a babysitting form and turn it in, with payment, to the shul office by Monday, September 4. There are copies of the form available in the shul office and in the racks in the lobby under the Youth Dept section.

ROSH HASHANAH GREETINGS: The deadline to participate in this year's AA Sisterhood Rosh Hashanah greetings is Monday, September 4. This is the fastest and easiest way to wish a Shana Tova to our entire Ahavas Achim family. Forms can be found in the shul office and lobby. Just return your greeting form with a $10 check (made out to Ahavas Achim Sisterhood) to Elena Orgel or drop it off in the shul office if it's easier.
